New Chief and Council sworn in at Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation
The Mississaugas of the Credit First Nation Chief and Council were sworn in on Friday December 15th at the Community Centre.
About 70 people were on hand to witness the event with the new Chief Claire Sault saying that in 60 days she would provide the community with a plan for the next two years.
Other issues raised during the event were to deal with the pillars system that was implemented several years ago to improve communication between departments and create better working relationships, but has not resolved the situation.
Upon completion of the swearing in, ceremony the new council went immediately into their first council meeting.
