The flame of the Jeux du Québec arrived in Sherbrooke at Marché de la Gare on Thursday night at 7:00 pm. Games organizers expressed anticipation for the upcoming event, emphasizing the 30-day countdown to the official opening on March 1st.
The president of the board, Serge Auray, called for volunteers and encouraged Sherbrooke residents to participate in free activities. Deputy Mayor Raïs Kibonge welcomed games participants and expressed hopes for local athletes’ success.
The event concluded with a celebratory walk on the Promenade du Lac-des-Nations, featuring notable local athletes and the official mascot Rafale.
