Elora’s John Hirdes honoured with Order of Canada appointment
Salem resident and Elora native John Hirdes has been named to the Order of Canada.
Hirdes is a professor at the University of Waterloo in the School of Public Health Sciences. As part of a 40-country research team and the lead Canadian of the group, Hirdes develops clinical assessment tools that get used in regular practice.
Vivek Goel, University of Waterloo president, took to X to congratulate the professor at the school on the distinct honour.
