Local charities reflect on how “Catch the Ace” funds will help their organizations and clients
The Kin Club of Russell presented over $1.2 million, from its Catch the Ace lottery, which was divided among seven local charities at a gala held in Embrun on Sunday, November 3.
The seven charities are Breast Cancer Action, The Good Neighbours Food Bank (Russell Township), Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind, Youth Sporting Equipment (Russell Township), Valoris Foundation, WDMH Foundation (Winchester District Memorial Hospital and Dundas Manor Long Term Care Home), and the Kin Club of Russell.
CJRO spoke with Diane Hayes of Breast Cancer Action and Jean-Francois Gignac of the food bank about the benefit these funds will have on their programming and clients.
