Mohawk digital artist collaborates with National Lacrosse League’s Toronto Rock
On Saturday, the National Lacrosse League (NLL) team Toronto Rock celebrated Indigenous heritage night while they took on the Vancouver Warriors at the FirstOntario Centre in Hamilton.
Many Six Nations members attended the game. The jerseys’ logo designs were made by Tyendinaga, Mohawk Kory Parkins. Parkins is a digital artist who has done work for some of the largest NLL teams as well as several other National sports leagues teams.
Parkin’s discussed with CKRZ news journalist Deya Miller that he simply reached out to media representative Mike Hancock with the artwork and it was then shared with the Toronto Rock organization and they “loved it!”
