Mapleton public meeting reignites debate over puppy kennels in township
Following a debate over puppy mill operations in Mapleton back in April, puppy kennels and breeding operations were once again a focus at a council meeting this week.
Coun. Michael Martin said he wasn’t too convinced by this application, an amendment for a breeding kennel, and the recognition of an existing bed and breakfast use on subject lands in the township.
Martin, despite Mayor Gregg Davidson’s pointing out that the family is trying to come into compliance with current regulations, was on the fence, stating concerns over the lack of timeliness with the application, among other woes.
