Kawartha Land Trust’s ‘Passport to Nature’ returns after a successful first year
Kawartha Land Trust’s (KLT) Passport to Nature program, a year-long series of free, guided adventures in nature, has launched for its second year.
The program first ran in the 2023-24 season and was “successful,” says Anna Lee, KLT Director of People and Operations.
Between April 2024 and March 2025, KLT’s Passport to Nature program will consist of 14 facilitated nature events, covering a variety of properties and subjects. Lee believes that this program can act as an “entry point” for getting people interested in nature.
All of the Passport to Nature events can be found in their guide book, which is available both on their website and in print.
The program officially launched on May 6, and the first event (“Spring Beauty and Blooms – Ephemerals galore” May 11) was at maximum capacity within 48 hours.
