‘Infusion of investment’ needed for DTI to catch up on crumbling infrastructure, says Mitton
Dorchester business owners are worried about the extended closure of route 106, which could now last throughout the summer.
The mayor of Tantramar has weighed in on the issue with a letter to Department of Transportation and Infrastructure (DTI) Minister Richard Ames, and MLA Megan Mitton continues to question the state of the province’s roads in the legislature.
Mitton told CHMA that the department is underfunded, and needs an “infusion of investment” to catch up on maintaining the province’s road, bridges, and buildings.
