On Friday, September 20th, event coordinator, Ness Pringle, says she woke to find every poster for the P(Ride) Glow Ride event destroyed throughout downtown Peterborough.
P(Ride) was an event scheduled for the evening of September 21st – a collaboration between B!KE: The Peterborough Community Bike Shop and Peterborough-Nogojiwanong Pride.
“I do all of the organizing and I did all of the postering for the event, myself,” says Pringle. “Every single place I had put up a poster, it was gone. No one else’s posters were touched, just mine. I had probably put up 80 posters.”
Pringle, disheartened, shared an image of a torn poster on their social media with an urge for community members to help promote the event, and it led to a better turnout than they had expected.
“It ended up going amazing, I was so thankful,” says Pringle, after over 60 people attended the P(Ride) event.
